Cope & Co provides a full range of corporate restructuring and insolvency services to lenders, insolvency practitioners, companies and their directors and to other law firms.
We offer our services either as a complete full service package, advising our clients from the outset of any transaction or initial enquiry through to its conclusion, or as any number of discrete services which may compliment services provided by another law firm or professional services provider, in each instance for a fixed cost agreed at the commencement of the job.
Advising Administrators, Liquidators and Receivers
We provide advice to office holders on all aspects of their appointment, from any potential risk of personal liability to points of law associated with a sale or potential actions against Directors or debtors of an insolvent company, through to reviewing retention of title claims.
These services are provided either as a full service or discrete, stand alone jobs, but in all cases at a fixed fee agreed with our client at the outset of the matter.
Discrete services we offer include:
- drafting and, where appropriate, issuing appointment documents
- review of retention of title claims
- collection of debtor ledgers
Advising Banks and other lenders
We act for major banks and other lenders, advising on various issues including:
- the validity of security held over a company or individual
- the most beneficial way of dealing with a debtor in default of its facilities
- the most effective way to realise a company’s or individual's assets when necessary
